Okay, time to share my fantastic news regarding the Fabler competition.
You guys might remember when I posted a picture asking you to sign up for this website called the Fabler and give the Acting Out archives 5 stars? You might also remember when I deleted that post, and told you that we came up too short to win? Well just yesterday I got an e-mail from the staff saying this:
If you are reading this, we want to first congratulate you on making it to the final round!
The comic, Acting Out: Comics 1 - 30 is in the top 10 most voted and popular comic on the site and in the contest!
Your hard work, perseverance, and most of all creativity, has given you the love of your fans and the opportunity as a finalist in our first ever contest on the Fabler. Our Editors and Contest Sponsors will now take the next few days to choose the final 3 winners of first, second and third prize! Which will be publicly announced on the September 20th, 2010.
So I guess I was wrong much? :D They also put up a blog post naming all the winners, which you can check out here:
After only 14 months of having this comic up, to see it within a lineup of so many great comic makes me feel absolutely elated. Even if we end up winning nothing, it's wonderful that we're in the top ten and we've come this far.
I couldn't thank you guys enough for all that you've done. Not just by voting in the competition, but all your comments, ratings, and just reading the comic have really put it milestones ahead of where I thought it would be at this point. Thank you so much, and wish me luck! ^^

New Look, New Plot, and New Obstacles
I really wish I could use this news thing more often. xP But every time I try, I can never really think of anything newsworthy to say. Plus I usually just tell you guys everything that's going on with me and the comic in my author's comments anyway, so it's not like I really need to tell you guys anything extra.
So I've made a new layout once again, which was the surprise I was talking about in my author's comments. I was able to finish it before school started for me, which is in 2 days now. In fact, the last time I made a new news post was when I put up the last layout, which was back in September 8th of '09. Exactly 1 year from now. How eerie... o.o
But I hope you guys like it. The last layout had very dark colors and looked a little gloomy, so I thought I'd make the colors on this one a little brighter. Also I added some tables for the comments section on the comic pages to make it look a little neater. If you're having any trouble with the layout on your computer, let me know and I'll see what I can do. :)
As I mentioned before, I'm starting school again on Friday. Boo. :C I'm really not looking forward to it. I'll get to see all my friends again, sure, but I really hate getting up early in the morning and doing all that work. It takes me away from my comic time. P: So if you've been getting used to comics being posted in the afternoon, I'm sad to say that that'll be coming to an end. Back to comics being posted at 10:00 at night. T_T
The next big plot for Acting Out is starting this November. It'll be formatted like The Outside, but I'll probably be doing a lot of experimenting with the format since I'm trying to get better at making comic pages. I can't say what the plot will be about just yet, but for now I'll say that I've been waiting to make this plot since before The Outside started, and I'm very excited. You should be too. :D
So I'll leave it at that for now. I need to work on tomorrow's comic. So long. :)

I don't use this news thing as often as I should. o_o; I'll try to use it a little more often from now on...
Anyway, I put on a new layout for the site! Some of you may recognize it from the Acting Out site on drunkduck.com (http://www.drunkduck.com/acting_out). I changed it because I thought the old layout here was starting to look a little sloppy, and I liked the drunk duck one a LOT more, so I put it on here as well. You'll find more changes as you explore the site as well. :)
If this layout is causing anyone problems, please e-mail me at email@example.com describing the problem you're having.
Also in the past week or so, I've added Acting Out to several webcomic voting sites and directories. You can see which ones if you go to the Affiliates page. It would also be great if you vote for Acting Out on the webcomic voting sites (such as TWC and Webcomics Super 100 List). That would be greatly appreciated. :)
I also added more banners for Acting Out in the affiliates page. You can check those out as well.
That's it for now. :) I'll try to make future posts shorter and more to the point, but for now I just had to get all this news out of the way. Bye! ^_^

Wow! I'm actually getting stuff done a lot faster with this comic than I thought I could. I was able to put together this layout in about...3 hours? And I still have time to spare for working on the characters page (18 characters so far...yeah, it's gonna take a lot of work...). So yeah, I'll get started on that.
My main goal now is to get a comic out ASAP. I want to get the comic out there as quickly as I can so that I can spend most of the summer making comics and advertising the series.
Now to explain this, I came up with the idea a couple of months ago as a hypothetical thought, basically what I WOULD make if I didn't have so many other things to do. Well, I couldn't stop thinking about it, and soon I had so many great ideas that I just couldn't let go to waste. For those of you who haven't read my journals on dA, I'll quote from one to explain the theme of the comic:
|"It's a gag comic, probably shown on Smackjeeves only (which I would always link to here for those who are interested). It has animal characters (anthropomorphics), and it's basically about a bunch of child actors/actresses in their school's drama club...They basically hang out on set and their auditorium, joking around and getting into shenanigans."|
And to further explain why I'm making this, it's going to replacing the AACC Chronicles because I was completely unhappy with the writing. So I apologize to those who were looking forward to reading AACC.
I'll be putting out the first comic soon. In the mean time, keep checking up on this site to see the extras I'll be adding!
